• Grow your hair some months before the wedding. This will give you more options in choosing the right hairstyle that will suit you. This will save you the cost of acquiring hair extensions if needed.

• Consider the venue of the wedding – beach or church. A long flowing soft curls hairstyle or short and sassy hairstyle may be more suitable for the beach venue. A traditional updo hairstyle may be suitable for church or fairy tale wedding theme.

• Consider the line, density and texture of your wedding dress and your hair accessories (veil, tiara…). The line of the dress should complement your hairline.

• Consult with your hairstylist with information of your wedding theme, wedding dress and your style of make-up. The hairstylist will provide you with advice on which type of hairstyle will firstly suit your face structure and but will also complement your dress and your wedding theme.

• Finally, 1 week before the wedding day, have a trial wedding hairdo at the salon followed by the bridal make-up. If you are happy with the results, then you can cross off this one item on your wedding checklist. Otherwise, discuss with your hairstylist to make adjustments on the hairstyle or even make changes.
